Neuro Developmental and Child Adolescent Disorder

Dr. Deepali Sharma is a post doctorate in Developmental Psychology and PhD in Child Development whose research focus is in the areas of life skills education, positive youth development, behavior settings of street/working children, daily ecology of adolescent family life, school stress, and intervention studies using growth mind set approach approaches.

Dr. Sharma is a Fulbright and Humboldt Fellow and serves as an editor of the bi-annual Bulletin published by the International Society for the Study of Behavioral Development. She is a member of several cross-cultural study groups, and serves as a reviewer/editorial committee member on international journals with a focus on adolescents. She has 25 plus peer-reviewed journal articles and has 5 book chapters.

 

In her current profile at the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, she is working closely with mothers facing postnatal depression, adolescents with depression and anxiety, and is working on the role of brief interventions in positively impacting mental health. She is also a part of several grant proposals to study the impact of the pandemic on mothers and their children.
