We are Committed to Excellence, Integrity, Innovation and Community

Why We Exist
Too many people around the world particularly from African, Caribbean, South Asian, Middle Eastern and other underrepresented communities experience mental health challenges without access to culturally appropriate care. Whether in low- and middle-income countries or in overlooked communities in the UK, mental health is too often underfunded, misunderstood, or stigmatised.

At GMHCP, we believe in health equality. Our work focuses on changing systems and creating culturally relevant mental health research, interventions, and collaborations that centre the voices of communities.
Who we are

Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, physicians, psychologists, sociologists, epidemiologists, public health specialists, and community experts advances global mental health and cultural psychiatry research. We tackle health inequalities with culturally appropriate solutions for Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) and ethnic minorities in High-Income Countries (HICs).
At GMHCP, we uphold: “There is no health without mental health.” Our global network collaborates with universities, funders, and communities to provide mental health support and reduce stigma, partnering with governments and organizations worldwide. Key focus areas include cultural psychiatry, global mental health, health inequalities, collaborative research, and community engagement.
What Drives Our Work and Global Purpose

Join us in creating a future where mental well-being is a universal reality.

Our mission is to bridge the gap in mental health inequalities by delivering high quality, culturally appropriate mental health services.
